Who We Are

Caribbean Medical Informatics B.V., trading as Carmedin, is based in Curaçao, Willemstad, Gosieweg 171. We provide healthcare IT consultancy services across the Caribbean region. Contact: info@carmedin.org

02

What Data We Collect

When you use our contact form, we collect the information you provide — typically your name, email address, organisation, and message content. We ask that you not include sensitive personal data in your message, and we do not request it.

Our website uses Plausible Analytics (self-hosted) to see which pages are visited. Plausible does not use cookies and does not collect personal identifiers — only aggregate page-visit counts.

Most of our free tools (calculators, JWT decoder, hash/encoding toolkit, data formatter) process everything you enter locally in your browser — nothing is sent to our servers. Two tools work differently: our DNS & Email Security Checker sends the domain you enter directly from your browser to Cloudflare's public DNS resolver to look up records — we never see the domain you checked. Our SSL/Certificate Checker sends the domain or URL you enter to our own server to perform the connection check; this is not stored after the check completes.

If you book a consultation, you'll be taken to booking.carmedin.org (Microsoft Bookings), a Microsoft-operated service separate from this website. Booking details are then delivered to our team via Microsoft Teams and to support@carmedin.org.

We do not set cookies on this website, and we do not use localStorage, sessionStorage, or any other form of browser storage. Loading a page on this site makes no requests to third-party servers — fonts, stylesheets, scripts and analytics are all served from our own infrastructure. The only external connections are ones you initiate yourself: using the DNS & Email Security Checker contacts Cloudflare's public resolver, and following a consultation link takes you to Microsoft Bookings. If this changes, we will update this policy and add a consent mechanism where required.

03

How We Use Your Data

We use contact form submissions solely to respond to your enquiry. We do not use your data for marketing without your explicit consent, and we do not sell or share personal data with third parties except where required by law or necessary to deliver our services.

04

Legal Basis (Curaçao Lbp & GDPR/AVG)

Carmedin operates under Curaçao's Landsverordening bescherming persoonsgegevens (Lbp, A.B. 2010 no. 84), in force since 1 October 2013, with GDPR/AVG controls applied where the Regulation is applicable to the relevant processing or engagement. Where GDPR/AVG applies, the legal basis for processing contact enquiries is legitimate interest. Where we request consent, that consent is the legal basis.

05

Data Retention

We retain contact enquiry data for as long as necessary to manage the business relationship, and no longer than three years after last contact unless a longer retention is required by law.

06

Your Rights

You have the right to access, rectify, or erase personal data we hold about you. You also have the right to restrict or object to processing and the right to data portability. To exercise these rights, contact info@carmedin.org. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

07

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party or externally-hosted services:

  • Plausible Analytics (self-hosted) — aggregate page-visit statistics, no cookies, no personal identifiers.
  • Cloudflare — used only by our DNS & Email Security Checker tool, to resolve DNS records for the domain you enter; your browser contacts Cloudflare directly, not us.
  • Microsoft (Bookings and Teams) — used for scheduling consultations and for internal delivery of booking and enquiry notifications to our team.

Each of these processes data according to its own privacy practices, which we don't control.
