Skinfold Body Fat Calculator.
Estimate body fat percentage from caliper skinfold measurements using the Jackson-Pollock method (3-site or 7-site). For use with a physical skinfold caliper. For adults only β this is a screening estimate, not a diagnosis.

How it's calculated: Body density is estimated from your skinfold sum using the Jackson & Pollock (1978/1980) generalized equations, then converted to body fat % using the Siri (1956) equation. Categories follow the American Council on Exercise (ACE) classification. Accuracy depends heavily on measurement technique β the published standard error is about Β±3β4% body fat when measurements are taken correctly and consistently by a trained assessor. For adults only.

Measurement Tips
1Take each measurement 2β3 times and use the average.
2Pinch firmly enough to separate the fat layer from the muscle beneath.
3Hold the caliper perpendicular to the fold and read after about 2 seconds once the needle settles.
4Measure on the right side of the body regardless of handedness.
5Try to have the same person measure you the same way each time for consistent tracking.
Beyond a screening number
We help healthcare organizations build the systems behind population health data.
From clinical data pipelines to reporting dashboards, tools like this are one small piece of a much larger health informatics picture. That's what we do.
