About this calculator: Uses the 2021 CKD-EPI creatinine equation (race-free). Valid for adults 18 and older with a standardized (IDMS-traceable) creatinine assay. A single reading is not a diagnosis — CKD staging requires abnormal results to persist for at least 3 months, and an eGFR above 60 alone (without other evidence of kidney damage) does not indicate CKD. This tool does not account for acute kidney injury, where creatinine has not yet reached steady state. Always interpret results with a healthcare professional.
